International student body Each year, the Yale School of Music receives around 1,500 applications. YSM regularly admits approximately 100 students who come from more than 20 different countries, two dozen U.S. states, and more than 70 institutions.
Faculty Spotlight Ani Kavafian Faculty violinist Ani Kavafian enjoys a prolific career as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. At Yale, Kavafian teaches a studio of graduate-level violin students, coaches chamber ensembles, and performs on several of the school’s concert series.
