Thisyear,ourgoalistocontinueprovidingChapterMembersandfriendswithanexpansionofeventsthatwillhelp spreadthelegacyofourbelovedXavierthroughoutSouthernCalifornia.
WekickedofftheyearparticipatingintheLosAngelesInter-AlumniCouncilofUNCF'sMLKBreakfastonMLKDay andwerepresentedattheBlackCollegeExpo,alongwithXavierAdmissions,onJanuary28th.Oursecondannual MardiGrasPartywasheldonFebruary19thatTheProudBird(nearLAX)TheeventwasagreattimeforAlumniand othercommunitymemberstoengagewitheachotherandtheChapterOfficers.

Ourgoalistohaveatleast100PaidMembersbytheendoftheyearsothatwecanfundeffective,exciting recruitmentandretentionprogrammingLikeanyothernon-profitorganization,Membershipsmakeitpossibleto providecommunityoutreach,holdevents,payforsupplies,andmoreJOINTODAY!
WearealsoinneedofvolunteersforSocialMediaandEventscommittees.Letusknowhowyouwanttohelp.

Fun Chapter Facts
1. The revitalized Southern California Alumni Chapter was founded in April 2021.
2. XULA SoCal Chapter members represent graduating classes from 1948 to 2022.
3. In representing the SoCal region, the Chapter has hosted events in Signal Hill, Bellflower, Westlake Village and Los Angeles.
4. XULA SoCal pays it forward to the community through service events including its Annual Christmas Community Event, Freshman Send-Off & participation at local college expos.

At a moment in time when enrollment is increasing and there are many opportunities on the horizon - including the creation of a medical school in partnership with Ochsner Health - it is important that alumni continue to show our support: Give Love Xavier.
This year's GLX Day is April 4th-5th from 12AM to 12AM. Last year the SoCal Alumni Chapter raised $3894 Let's give more this year.
