Local 10-year-olds wow Sibaya By Xpress Reporter

KwaDukuza's sensational 10-yearolds; Sabian Lee Singh, Saiyan Naidoo, Brayson Naidoo and Yuven Chetty as well as Tylen Naidoo from Durban thrilled the audience at the Battle of the Bands at the iZulu Theatre, Sibaya Casino. They were supported by Ryan Joshua (Music Director), Trevlin Naidoo on bass guitar and Sydney Naidoo on rhythm guitar. The stunning musical performance Dawnheights recorded a thrilling back to back victories when they beat their arch rivals in their derby game against iLembe in the KwaZulu Natal Challenge league. Dawnheights won the toss and elected to field after a delayed start due to overnight rain. iLembe got off to a cautious but solid start which was helped by some ordinary fielding for Dawnheights. Midway through their cautious innings, the tight Dawnheights bowlers started taking wickets at regular intervals with Bilal Ismail ending with figures of 6.5 overs, 4 wickets for 26 runs. Manor to host 15th anniversary awards banquet Manor Cricket Club has played a major role in the development of young upcoming cricketers in community for the last 15 years. They have produced a KZN Dolphin player in S. Mlongo and several other KZN junior caps.
