CALL FOR ORIGINAL SONGS
FINAL X FACTOR MALTA SEASON 2 1. Meet our 12 finalists. Please find a link below per contestant singing at their last phase, Judges' Houses, prior to the LIVE SHOWS. 2. We are looking for original songs suitable for 4 finalists who will be battling it out at the FINAL NIGHT 8th February 2020. 3. Applicants can send in more than 1 song per contestant but we encourage and recommend to focus and be selective in your choices. 4. The songs submitted must be 3 mins long, modern & relevant to 2020 music landscape, identifiable and ideally stand-out songs. Poor songs will be eliminated straight away. 5. The format of the application must include a declaration that the song hasn't been performed in public or published on any digital or physical portal. The song must be in full playback with demo singer voice, half playback including backing vocals and ideally an instrumental version. 6. The X Factor team together with record label will reserve the right to transfer the submitted song to the contestant they feel can interpret the song better and of course to the contestants who ultimately will be in the final as chosen by the public. 7. The deadline for submitting songs is the 18th of January 2020, so all songs will need to be sent by then. Submissions should be made on xfactor@tvm.com.mt
8. The X Factor production, after consultation with the record label, will then inform the shortlisted applicants by the 23rd of January 2020 where the applicant would be committed to sending in full masters produced versions and stems by not later than the 27th of January 2020. 9. The chosen 4 songs will be communicated to the public on the Final night. 10. The submissions are open to both Local and International songwriters/ producers.
