Increase your momentum where will the next year take you? You are about to enter a highly competitive global marketplace, where your skills and knowledge will be put to the test as you face the challenge of positioning yourself for success in today’s economy. With one more year of full-time academic study, you can strengthen your position in today’s professional marketplace by earning your Master of Business Administration through the Xavier University Momentum MBA program.

Put Yourself One Step Ahead As a recent graduate, you have a unique opportunity to apply your undergraduate business courses toward a Xavier MBA without spending years in another MBA program. As part of the Momentum program, you can earn your MBA in as little as one year.

Kevin Sanker, Class of 2009 MBA, International Business BS, Business in Marketing and Organizational Leadership from Miami University

Through this program, most students who majored in a business field as an undergraduate are able to waive the first 20 hours of Foundation Skills required to earn an MBA, saving at least a year and more than $13,000. Not only can you use your undergraduate degree toward your MBA, but you can also give yourself an advantage over your peers as you begin your career or pursue another promotion within your organization.

Build a Personal, Professional Network At Xavier, your education is our number one priority. Our small class sizes, with an average of 20 students per class, ensure that students get to know each other and their professors well. You’ll meet one-on-one with an academic advisor who will work with you to develop

your personal plan for completing the MBA.

Gain Hands-On Experience The Xavier MBA extends beyond the classroom. Students consistently report that they incorporate MBA skills into their everyday work. Many opportunities are available for students to supplement their knowledge with practical experience through: • The MBA Investment Fund. • The Association for Corporate Growth Competition. • Non-profit consulting through Project Management and Corporate Governance. • Intensive leadership development through the numerous leadership courses offered. • The MBA co-op program for academic credit. • A concentration in one of six business focuses: Business Intelligence, eBusiness, Finance, MIS, International Business or Marketing.

Make Connections to Manage Your Career Corporate Connections provides Xavier MBA students and alumni with career management tools for all stages of their academic and professional lives, such as: • The executive mentor program. • One-on-one career consultations. • Meet-the-firm nights. • Business expos. • The distinguished speaker series. • Professional development workshops.

“ Coming to Xavier for my MBA straight out of undergrad study gave me the chance to learn more about the corporate world before entering the job market, which put me in a better position to make a successful start to my career while making an impact on my industry.” Heather Gardner, Class of 2008

Study Abroad for a Global Perspective Xavier’s MBA program sponsors several international trips to promote a global perspective. Students have the opportunity to spend 10 days learning about the business environment in Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East.

Pursue a Graduate Assistantship Many graduate assistantships are available in the MBA Office and the Office of the Dean, as well as in the Departments of Accounting, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Management and Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. The graduate assistant can be awarded up to 24 credit hours of tuition and a cash stipend each year. Graduate assistantships outside the Williams College of Business are available throughout the University and on weekends.
