Xavier is extremely grateful to the many benefactors who, through their generosity, help to continue the mission of Xavier High School by ensuring that deserving students, regardless of financial circumstances, are able to afford a Xavier education. Students receiving financial aid or academic scholarships from the above funds send Christmas cards and school year-end letters to their benefactors. Students and their benefactors are also afforded the opportunity to meet each other at the annual Named Scholarships reception each spring here in the Meditz Family Learning Center at Xavier. It is always wonderful to see students express their gratitude in person while the benefactors share their stories about Xavier and establish a relationship with the student. It is one more way the Xavier story continues to be told, one generation after another. A more complete list of endowed scholarships is exhibited above the gymnasium staircase in the main lobby of the 16th Street entrance. 14
