Julie (Schwaller) Ryno ’76 was honored with the David McCurragh Distinquished Service Award from the ED Market Association in October 2019. The award is the association’s highest honor. “Julie has been a tireless volunteer in her time in the industry for close to 40 years,” said Greg Moore, 2019 EDmarket Chair of the Board. “She is always the first to volunteer and remains focused on creating a brighter future for the association.” Julie’s acceptance speech said, “It is a great honor to be recognized by the industry that I love. I stand on the shoulders of giants in our industry.”
Diane Richardson ‘77 continued her education after Xavier at UW-Oshkosh where she earned a BS in Special Education and also earned some graduate credits. She taught K-12 special education for 23 years in most subjects. It was truly her love!

Diane is also an antique dealer in Green Bay and Appleton. For the past six years Diane has pursued her biggest passion of all, which is acting. It all began at Xavier High School with the lead in "No, No, A Million Times No" directed by Mary Stumpf. Her acting continued in community theater and she eventually auditioned for Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ (AMTC). She trained in Chicago and graduated in 2014.

Diane has acted professionally in films and commercials. She's had roles in “The Author, the Star, and the Keeper”, “The Field”, “From the Furnace”, and “Bucky and the Squirrels”. She's appeared in “The Reliant”, “John Light”, and “The Unmiracle”. Diane received a supporting role in the TV series “Messenger of Light/The Calling of Lizzy McBride” which is currently in production. She also received a role in “Honest to God” which is in pre-production. She's been in commercials for Marshfield Clinic, Meijer Grocery, Ho-Chunk and Menominee Casinos, Verizon, State Farm, and the Green Bay Packers.
Currently her focus is Christian film because her goal is to shed the light of Christ on a dark industry. Her faith seeds were planted by her parents Jack and Kathy Richardson, St. Mary's, and Xavier High School. Her success is attributed to her blessings from God.
