“To take a photo, you freeze a moment and capture a memory”

This shoot is a shoot with Erica Joynson I did a fashion and beauty shoot with her and it was a very girly shoot, I used Newcastle under-Lyme colleges’ photography studio to do this shoot, it is actually 2 different shoots one was when I did a Candy Warhol shoot, I had planned this shoot out a lot for a unit I was doing in college, I did this and a glitter shoot. The top left picture was taken on one of the first shoot I had done, I was wanting to do a beauty shoot and a friend of mine did her hair into the heart shapes, to make it look fashionable. I get a lot of my inspiration for shoots from looking on Pintrest, I like how you can just type something in and its full of ideas and pictures, I love it. I can just type in for example “pink photography” and a whole bunch of stuff comes up that’s how I got the idea for the Candy Warhol recreation shoot I saw it on pintrest looked up the photographer and styled my work based on his.

In this shoot the models are Vicky Tarrant, and Amy Griffiths, this shoot was part of another shoot I did as it was for the same college Unit after I had finished this unit I went back to the images and re edited them, for example I learnt how to change the colour of people eyes, so on all three of these images they have different coloured eyes than usual, my personal favourite is the one on the top left corner as I like how the models face fits the picture.

In these photographs the models are Vicky Tarrant and Matt Bramhall, this shoot as taken place in Cornwall, when me Vicky and Matt went to go have a look at Falmouth uni, I liked this shoot and I like the effect the sun has on the mood of the pictures it creates a happy warm mood which is what I wanted, the emotions I feel when I take the pictures should be created n the photographs I take or they wouldn’t have any meaning behind them. These are the landscape images I took I have more portraits as it was planned to be a fashion shoot, I really liked the location of this shoot as it fits in well and it was really sunny (even though is was probably about 5 degrees!)

These are the portrait pictures that I took while at falmouth open day I like these images a lot just like the others the 2 photographs of Matt were unplanned and unstructured but look great as you know he’s not posing he’s being natural in his natural environment.

This shoot is also in Falmouth but this is documentary, I was watching the surfers surf and it was really fun, I honestly don’t know how they managed to get in the water it was so cold. I like the images because they are documenting him and pictured him before he got into the water. With the guy not seeing me he isn’t acting unnatural so he looks what he would normally and I like that about it, its not fake.

This shoot was inspired by the movie Saw as my model Vicky Tarrant dressed as Saw, this was for a college open event for Newcastle under-Lyme college. I think the shoot went well considering I didn’t get that much time to plan it all out, I had help with the lighting as my teacher gave me ideas on how to stop the models hair and jacket blending in to the background to achieve this I just used a back light behind the model, I used 2 square soft box flashes also. I like how the pictures turned out and after a little of editing I loved them, before I edited them the models eyes where her natural eye colour but I learnt how to edit them and change the colour and I think it works really well with my pictures, and with the outfit as the Saw character has got red eyes.

This shoot was in Falmouth, its photographs I don’t normally take, I don’t usually take landscape type pictures but how can you not when the views are amazing! The first picture on the left I love so much because the rock at the bottom looks like a love heart and it think its so pretty the wave is just coming in and the rocks are glowing from the sun, it is definitely one of my favourite pictured I have taken. The bottom left photo is also one of my favourites because of the lens flare and the colours of the sun but not just that, when you look at the picture you can just image the noise of the waves crashing against the rocks and it looks relaxing.
