SPATIAL COMPOSITION A model making task exploring frame and grid technique
LANDFORMING In the land forming model activity, subtraction and extrusion techniques were explored
ASSEMBLAGE This model making tasked involved combining the spatial composition and landform models using different compositional strategies
NARRATIVE AND SPATIO-TEMPORAL NARRATIVE The aim of this task was to create a short narrative incorporating a key theme, my theme was occupy. To briefly summarise my narrative there were three planets in close vicinity to each other, intergalactic feuds were frequent due to debating and arguments about whether or not inhabitants of each planet should be designated with extra space to be used for required needs.
SUPEROSTION ASSEMBLAGE
Superimposition is a technique used to bring together two different forms into one singular form, keeping both forms evident. This often results in effects that would not usually be considered, bringing a new dimension to, maybe, to basic layers.
EXPERIENCE COLLAGE An experience collage is suppose to activate peoples emotions and senses through this creating an experience. This can be achieved by employing design schemes to create an atmosphere about your work. The naive quality of the collage juxtaposed over the faรงade of the building creates a contrast between known and unknown highlighting an alien feel. I have also tried to achieve a sense of depth, with the placement of the collage.
FINAL DESIGN MODEL The model to my final design was a precarious task, due to the scale. However model making is such a key aspect of architecture because the threedimensional form brings the idea and design to life.
FINAL DESIGN DRAWINGS The simplistic and graphic style of the drawings for the final design captured the essence of space, showing the intended purpose and flow of space in the area.
