The Arc of Laramie County is hosting an interactive murder mystery fundraiser, Murder on the Sagebrush Express, where attendees play detective and discover who killed the town reformer and banker, Prunella Potter. The event is August 23 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at LCCC Clay Pathfinder Building, 1400 East College Drive. Tickets are $40/person, limited capacity to 200 people. Applications for Rooted in Cheyenne’s 2025 Fall Planting event opened July 1, and city residents can apply for street trees to be planted on their properties. This year’s planting date is Saturday, September 20. Homeowners can purchase up to two trees at a cost of $50 per tree or could be eligible for income-based free trees if guidelines are met. This fall’s planting event will also include a free tree area where homeowners can receive up to two free trees. This area includes the neighborhoods south of Pershing Boulevard and north of 23rd Street between I-25 and Seymour Avenue.
