music Music is the food of life. And – every April – we gorge ourselves thanks to Focus Wales. This very cool event transforms Wrexham town centre into a paradise for live music lovers, with more than 150 bands playing gigs over three days at lots of different venues. But don’t worry. You don’t have to wait until April to enjoy live music in Wrexham. In the 890-seat William Aston Hall at Glyndwr University, we have a venue capable of showcasing the best there is. From classical to swing, motown and pop. And you’ll find even more music on campus in the nearby Catrin Finch Centre.

Of course, it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t have a few top-notch choirs in Wrexham. Being Welsh and proud. We’ve got Brymbo, Y Rhos, Rhos Orpheus and Dyffryn Ceiriog for starters. Plus the oldest boy-band in the world – Fron Male Voice Choir. The boys have become rather famous since their Voices of the Valley album stormed the charts. Our choirs perform at various venues throughout the year. You can sometimes even sit in on rehearsals – and it doesn’t cost you a penny.
