Hello and welcome to our July edition of our newsletter!

Winter is here, and with it comes the cold weather, we have seen some magnificent frosts over the past couple of weeks. As we snuggle up in our warm homes, it's important to remember those who may be struggling to stay warm during this season. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support to people with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the services and equipment they need to live their lives to the fullest. In the colder months, this is especially important, as many people with disabilities may need extra assistance to stay warm and comfortable. We understand the importance of providing support to those who need it most, and we encourage our community to do the same. Whether it's donating warm clothing or volunteering your time, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference. We hope that this winter season brings warmth and comfort to everyone, especially those who may be struggling.

The NDIS review is well underway, please refer to the below link to read more on the recent developments. These reforms are designed to make it easier for people to access the support they need, while also ensuring that the program is sustainable and effective in the long term. At RAWR Support Services we're committed to supporting these reforms and to working with our community to ensure that everyone has access to the services and support they need. We believe that by promoting inclusivity and accessibility, we can create a more equitable and compassionate society for all. https://www.ndisreview.gov.au/resources/reports/what-we-have-heard-report https://www.naidoc.org.au/local-events/local-naidoc-week-events

This month, we're looking forward to celebrating NAIDOC Week, a time to recognize and celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. There are many events and activities planned throughout the region, including art exhibits, cultural performances, and family-friendly events. We encourage our community to join us in celebrating this important occasion and learning more about the rich culture and history of our First Nations peoples. For a list of events in your local area please refer to the link below.

Lastly, the Jumpers and Jazz festival from 20th to 30th July! Get ready for a week of music, art, and fun at the Jumpers and Jazz Festival in Warwick. This annual event is a celebration of all things creative and is a highlight of the winter season in the region. The festival features live music performances, art exhibitions, workshops, and more, all centered around the theme of jazz and wool. Visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery of the region while immersing themselves in the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of the festival.

At RAWR Support Services, we are proud to be part of this year's event with our history tours, the tours will be held at Plumbs Chambers, 84 Fitzroy Street Warwick, please see our Facebook page for more details. We will also be decorating a tree on the Main Street near the Westpac bank, be sure to look out for it! Our Tuesday and Wednesday craft groups have been working very hard behind the scenes, and I can't wait to see the end result. We encourage our employees and participants to come out and enjoy this wonderful event, and to experience all that Warwick and the surrounding region have to offer. Whether you're a music lover, an art enthusiast, or just looking for a fun and exciting weekend, the Jumpers and Jazz Festival is not to be missed!
