When I was only seventeen, With skin so fair and clear and soft, I watched my Mum put on her face, I even laughed at her, and scoffed, “Does it really make a difference? That powder and that paint?

All it seems to do,” I said, “Is make complexions What they ain’t.”

But I’m not laughing now, oh no, Now it’s me that’s in the wars. Too late, I realise today, That make-up hides a lot of flaws!
