FISCAL YEAR 2015: CREATING WORKPLACE SUPERHEROES – THROUGH A VARIETY OF HUMAN RESOURCES INITIATIVES:
Provided employee survey-based training options for personal and professional development.
Performed a clear, relevant policy review to communicate expectations and adhere to state and federal legislation.
Updated personnel management tools to include employee performance and position descriptions.
Recruited a diverse workforce of the most qualified candidates for each of our open positions.
Monitored and supported employee retention issues through personal visits to departments,.
Supported individual commitment to educational development. During the 2015 fiscal year, WVSOM awarded $22,758.34 to twelve (12) employees for educational development. Eight (8) of these employees were classified and four (4) were non-classified.
