Another magnificant tour that you will never forget!

DAY 1

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, Sri Lanka, the tropical paradise. Transfer to Dambulla. A city tour of Negombo, set amidst lush groves of coconut palms, it breathes the spirit of the sea. Negombo is a gourmet’s paradise with seafood in plenty. Old – world fishing craft, like the outrigger canoe and the catamaran, while lobster and prawn are caught in the lagoon, en route to Dambulla, is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings found here are over 2,000 years old and is the largest area of paintings found in the world. The caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters. DAY 2

After Breakfast visit Polonnaruwa, the remains of the Royal Citadel council chamber, prince’s bathing pool and the Gal Vihare, a stone temple with its colossal sculptures of the Buddha in a quiet grove of trees as well as the still functioning Parakrama Samudra, a man made reservoir, large than the Colombo harbour, are on easy distance from each other. The new museum has an excellent scale model of the ancient city as it was. En route to Polonnaruwa, visit The Minneriya National Park, and have an Elephant back safari surrounding Kandalama. Dinner and overnight at selected star class hotel.


DAY 3

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Kandy. En-route to Kandy visit Sigiriya, climb the Sigiriya rock fortress of the 5th century King Kassapa. See the fortification, rock and fountain gardens, caves, frescoes, mirror wall and graffiti and the remains of the royal palace on the summit and Matale, visit the Spice Graden you can see, taste or experience the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. Also visit a Batik Factory. DAY 4

After breakfast visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage the home for young Elephants who have been displaced or lost from their natural habitat. This is the only such sanctuary in the world; you will watch the beasts gamboling in the water and being fed their quota of milk from handheld bottles. Dinner and overnight stay at selected star class hotel. DAY 5

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En-route to Nuwara Eliya you may visit the following such as the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, tea plantation sites. This beautiful town is where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Acres and acres of tea with its lush green foliage extend miles across the hills. DAY 6

After breakfast you are welcome to take a visit to Horton Plains, with abundance of wildlife and spectacular range of waterways and the filled with a variety of species. Dinner and overnight stay at selected star class hotel.


DAY 7

After breakfast proceed to Sinharaja Rain Forest, Sinharaja Rain Forest is a world heritage site and major eco tourism destination, it is undoubtedly a rich treasure trove of nature with a great diversity of habitats and a vast repository of Sri Lanka ‘s endemic species not found and not seen close to the eye in the world. En route to Sinharaja Rain Forest visit Kitugala boasts a magnificent location overlooking the wide Kelani River, a tributary carving its way through a southern strip of low rolling hills covered with lush vegetation. Adventure junkies flock for the white water rafting, the best in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay and dinner at selected star class hotel. DAY 8

After breakfast proceed to Beruwela. En-route to Beruwela, Beruwela Resort complex is a romantic rendezvous of river and sea with several hotels, railway station, post office, shopping arcade, cafeteria and an open – air theatre showing folk and mask dancing with clusters of palms overlooking everything, visit Galle Fort and Blalapitiya proceed by boats on which you will be taken for about three hours. Here you could see the villagers taking part in their day to day activities and some islands. Dinner and overnight stay at selected star class hotel. DAY 9 After breakfast visit Hikkaduwa is the place for under-water delights. It is the sight of the famed coral gardens. Hire a glass bottom boat and explore the fantasies under your feet. Then visit Moonstone Mines. Later, visit Ambalangoda is a harmless seaside town on the southwestern coast. It is the home of the mask carvers. These colourful masks are used by dancers performing exorcist rituals and folk dances. There is also an old Dutch Church. Dinner and overnight stay at selected star class hotel. DAY 10 After breakfast proceed to Colombo, is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka with a population of 1.1 million. The Fort, in the very centre of the city, is where most of the colonial remnants mainly from the British era are to be found. Nearby Pettah is Colombo’s busiest and most traditional bazaar, mosaic of human activities and architectural memories, En-route to Colombo visit the Turtle hatchery in Kosgoda which is being operated by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka. Several species of turtles, especially the endangered hawksbill are protected here. Most vulnerable of all are their eggs, which are left uncovered on beaches all around the coast. The goodwill of Kosgoda area fishermen who bring these eggs gratis to the hatchery has led to the hatching and have released around 100,000 young turtles in only two years since the hatchery opened. Dinner and overnight stay at selected star class hotel. DAY 11 After breakfast and experiencing an exotic holiday in this paradise isle, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for the Departure.
