What is aesthetic? You might have noticed in this magazine we used a lot of 90’s esc styling. This is the aesthetic of vaporwave. All things 90’s and consumerist. Vaporwave itself is a parody of consumerism , using slowed down parts of other songs. Here are some things you will see in the vaporwave aesthetic a lot.

Sculpted heads are very common in glitchy formats.

Japanese text is also common, representing the rise of Japanese products in the 90’s.

Windows 95 logos are common as well.

CD logos are used to represent the growth of technology from vinyl records to cd’s.

How do you make Vaporwave Vaporwave is made by using a DAW (Digital audio workstation). All vaporwave includes sampled songs that are slowed and pitched down. Then a beat is added. Good examples of DAWS used to make vaporwave are FL Studio 12 (Aidan uses it), and Ableton Live 9.
