Again this year, the Rope the Rockies crew utilized two arenas inside the vastness of the Lazy E. It was a hit with ropers as they enjoyed the smoothness and swiftness of the event. Because there were more teams, the payout was more as well and thus it was a good deal all the way around. Rowdy Bond was the big winner cashing in at $15,640 for the week. The heeler from Ranger, Texas banked his biggest check on Friday, November 1 partnered with Jeremy Ball from Wynne, Arkansas. T

he Cinch USTRC National Finals of Team Roping brings all facets of team roping together to one central location. One of those facets is the Guthrie Shoot-Out Championships held at the historic Lazy E Arena right up the road from Oklahoma City in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The event is produced by Rope the Rockies and this year they played host to over 6,970 teams on October 25 thru November 2, 2013. That is over a thousand teams up from the previous year. The event is nine days long and this year made some modifications to be more accommodating to team ropers.
