Further consideration will be given to an applicant’s personal qualifications, co-curricular activities, community involvement, and overall potential for success. Additional consideration of a students’ acceptance will be granted upon the discretion of the Vice President for Enrollment. Applications Applications may be obtained from your high school counselor, through the William Peace University website at www.peace.edu, the College Foundation of North Carolina website at www.cfnc.org, or by calling the William Peace University Office of Admissions at 1-800-PEACE-47 or at 919-508-2214 in the Raleigh area. All first-time applicants are required to submit a $25 non-refundable processing fee payable to William Peace University with the application. This fee, paid only once, is intended to defray the cost of processing the application and is not credited to the student’s account. Peace will consider waiving the non-refundable application fee of $25 for students who submit the College Board Application Fee Waiver Form (available from school counselors). Since William Peace University uses the rolling admissions procedure, applicants are considered for admission as soon as their application files are completed. A completed application form must be filed with the Office of Admission along with an application fee. Secondary school transcripts should be sent directly to the University. Home-schooled students should submit a self-certified transcript. Preliminary evaluation can be done with an unofficial transcript, however, an official offer of admission cannot be made until official transcripts are in the application file. Any prior college official transcripts should also be submitted directly to the University. Test scores from either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Board or the American College Test (ACT) of the American College Testing Program should be submitted to William Peace University. Applicants should take these tests early in the senior year or in the spring or summer of the junior year of high school. In order to have your scores sent directly to William Peace University, enter our code as 5533 for SAT tests or 3136 for ACT tests. Have at least one academic recommendation, preferably from a guidance counselor or teacher, sent directly to the University. Send us a personal essay (250 words) describing a book, person, or experience that has influenced your life.

Interviews and Campus Visits All applicants are encouraged to schedule an appointment to visit the campus and interview with a member of the admissions staff. In some cases, an interview may be required as part of the application process. There is no substitute for a campus visit when you are choosing a university. The William Peace University campus is open for visits throughout the year. Prospective students are encouraged to schedule an appointment to visit the Office of Admissions as follows: • Year-round: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday • September-May: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday (except on Holiday weekends) • Offices are closed on major holidays throughout the year. • Extended hours are also available by appointment.
