WHAT A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD WE LIVE IN!

Please, call me Will …

Hello there! Brace yourselves, I have a major announcement: I am not Denny O’Neil, and I could never fill his shoes, but here I am.

My name is William Campbell (please, call me Will) and I am the president of the Baldwin Park Joint Committee. In addition to my position on the Joint Committee, I am the vice president of operations for a multi-national company; part owner of small, hyperlocal marketing and branding company here in Orlando; and I have a little lifestyle blog in my free time, on top of maintaining a busy social life … are you tired yet? I am just from typing it.

A little bit about me: Originally from South Florida, I moved to Orlando in 1998 for college and attended UCF, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations. After graduation, I moved back south to help take care of my mom who was sick, and that is where I met my now husband, Andrew. We moved back to Orlando in 2011, rented a place here in Baldwin Park and quickly fell in love with the neighborhood. After a brief stint living downtown, we decided it was time to buy and, after an exhaustive search, ended up with our beautiful townhouse right here in Baldwin Park. We haven’t looked back since! One day, while sitting at Osprey for brunch with some friends who live in the Milk District, they mentioned they “always forget about Baldwin Park” when they’re deciding where to go. This neighborhood means so much to me that I wanted to see how I could become more involved so, along with a couple of the business owners in the Village Center, we started the Downtown Baldwin Park Committee to bring more awareness to our local businesses.

Let’s be real: We have some of the most amazing restaurants, coolest shops and best service providers in Orlando, but so many people outside of Baldwin Park don’t even realize we’re here. Shortly after we started the merchant group, a seat became available on the Joint Committee, so I sent in my résumé and joined about a month later.
