Memorable quote
True messengers of peace: A rover group awarded.
“The Scout Movement is a world leader in educating youth. Scouting inspires patriotism, sound moral values, courage, character building, self-reliance and community awareness. It also motivates our young people to achieve their full potential.”
KENYA- 16 Rovers came together to form the Masaku Rover group that is located in Machakos, at the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. The Masaku Rover Group was awarded the Peace Ambassadors Certificate by GLOVEPA in recognition of their efforts to foster peace in their community especially during the 2007 post poll violence. After the award ceremony, the Scouts proceeded to paint the police station then engaged in games that included a tag of war and a football match against the local police.
