ANNUAL REPORT 2020

SMALL DONATIONS FOR BIG CAUSES 2

3

2020 has been a very special year for Worldcoo. The coronavirus pandemic has deeply left its mark on all of us. However, the year has been full of challenges and new opportunities for Worldcoo.

We end the year 2020 by registering a donation every second (December 2020); with no doubt, this has been one of the most important milestones of this year and one of which we are most proud of. Compared to the previous year, in 2020 the number of donations made has doubled: 11,078,484. New companies have joined the Charity Rounding Up system. Today, more than 4,500 establishments already offer their customers the opportunity to round up the final amount of their purchase and make a small donation to a social and / or environmental cause. It has also been a year in which we have had to deal with the exceptional situation that has been given to us by the Covid19 crisis. Since March, we have launched 53 emergency campaigns to help finding, as quickly as possible, new treatments to help curb the disease, or to mitigate the effects of the pandemic among the most vulnerable groups. Once again, we have seen how, in the worst situations, society is more supportive than ever. In total, more than one million euros have been raised to deal with this situation and its consequences. It is the 50% of the total donations registered. The Worldcoo’s team has also increased in Barcelona, and we have opened a new headquarter in Rome, Italy. At the same time, we have participated in different programs and virtual meetings in the sector that have allowed us to increase our visibility internationally. Looking to 2021, we have the hope and challenge of implementing the Charity Rounding Up system in more establishments, to help many more projects and NGOs, launch new technological solutions (and improve the existing ones) and also to scale Worldcoo in different countries, such as Italy, Andorra or Ecuador.

Thank you all for being part of Worldcoo. Together, we can make a better world! Sergi Figueres CEO 4

One donation every second

This 2020 we have raised 2,662.325 million euros thanks to the 11,060,495 donations that have been made through the various collection channels of Worldcoo, twice as many as the previous year. Most of them - 98% - have been produced through the Charity Rounding Up. Although the other channels (online micro donations and the Worldcoo Donation Site) channel a 2% of donations, they contribute 24% of the collection. This is because dataphone donations are on average around 20 cents, while widget donations are at least one euro. Donations made through the Worldcoo Donation Site are even much higher. By the end of 2020, we registered one donation every second through our all fundraising channels.

Due to the social and economic crisis arising from the global coronavirus pandemic, the beneficiaries have been mostly concentrated in Spain - from the 53 campaigns activated to deal with the Covid emergency, 35 had an impact in Spain and they have had more than 90% of the funds raised - this trend of supporting local projects has already been observed in previous years and has been accentuated in emergency situations. It is also common for corporations in these situations to activate campaigns through the Solidarity Portal to promote solidarity among their community and especially among their employees. This year, of the total number of Covid-related projects, 25 have received donations via this donation channel. In addition, at Worldcoo we also created a special portal where all the coronavirus-related campaigns were grouped together to facilitate donations to our community.

In addition, during this 2020 ...

Although the socio-health situation has forced us to work from home, we have had the opportunity to participate in various events and programs that have given us international visibility. In February, we participated in the Adyen Acceleration Program, held in Amsterdam. For three intense days, we had the opportunity to participate in different masterclasses and learn about success stories from other European companies.

In June, we were the first Spanish startup selected to participate in Mastercard’s Starth Path program. Participation in this program has allowed us to increase our visibility to customers, partners and investors. Worldcoo has been the only Spanish company to participate.

In November, we were invited to explain our experience at the Sitges Next 2020 festival. Together with Dr. Clotet (Director of the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute) and Manel Prat (Head of the Marketing and Communication Department of Bonpreu i Esclat), talked about technology as a solidarity innovation.
