Data Documentation

The macroeconomic data are prepared by The World Bank from a variety of sources. Data on Personal Transfers and Compensation of Employees are prepared by World Bank staff based on IMF balance of payments statistics. Data on foreign direct investments and current account balance are prepared by World Bank staff based on IMF balance of payments statistics and UNCTAD’s World Investment Report. Other macroeconomic data are from IMF balance of payments statistics.

Data on exports of goods, services, and primary income are based on countries’ balance of payments statistics for the following countries:
