Consolidation of freight into a train is organized by railway companies such as CSX, Canadian Pacific, or Union Pacific

agencies in the country of transit. As of 2013, the offer of consolidated “retail” services is limited (table 3.4). One of the important issues that impact the frequency of services is the lack of spare capacity along the routes and possible capacity bottlenecks.
