Poverty Fighting poverty is central to the Bank Group’s mission. IFC and Poverty IFC assists in the fight against poverty by focusing many of its investments on sectors that have the most direct effect on living standards. Sectors include the financial sector, infrastructure, ICT, small and medium-size enterprises, microfinance, health, and education.
