Buy Out Time for Your Significant Other
The most basic and effective way to give your relationship a romantic boost is by actually making time for your significant other. It's very easy to become complacent when you both have jobs or are at college or university and have social lives outside of your partnership to not spend as much time together as you once did. If you are serious about making your relationship work, you must buy time for your significant other. Why do we say buy out? Show you are willing to make the time in your schedule for your partner, even if it means compromising and missing out on something else.
Give Them Surprises
Who doesn't like surprises? Long-term relationships can become very predictable, and when you know what's going to happen day in, and day out, it can be not very interesting. If you want to show how much you love your partner and keep the romantic fire burning between you, you must occasionally sweep them off their feet.
To remedy this, you must think outside the box and surprise your partner. Whether it's turning up at their workplace (if appropriate) to take them for a picnic lunch during their break or booking a getaway, your significant other will appreciate the lengths you have gone to.
Understand the Love Language of Your Partner
The only way you can be romantic towards your partner is if you understand their love language. This means the ways they prefer to receive and express their love. Just because you consider physical touch the best way to show love to your partner, it doesn't mean it's their preferred
