Getting to know Dusor Architects with Terrence Sobers After completing the award-winning Millennium City Centre redevelopment project design alongside Leeds Civic Architect John Thorpe, I returned to Barbados where I served as project architect for a well-respected practice before establishing DCA in 2010. My Barbadian heritage, merged with the British and European architectural foundation, fostered a fresh perspective on architecture and culture that inspired my design process. DCA was founded as a full-service architectural firm that united my expertise in building design and contract administration with my wife’s proficiency in landscape design and earned us global recognition through winning an International Property Award. What is your recipe for a successful residential project? Most importantly, we believe in building relationships with our clients – good rapport sets a great platform for a wonderful project. Pre-exchange assessments are facilitated via a free initial consultation that allows each client to shape their vision, gain valuable insight into the design and development process, and define a broad construction budget. In addition, 3D visualisations can provide homeowners with a preview of their residence, a welcome assurance that their ideas have been faithfully translated in blueprint.
