WORDTheatre, a non-profit organization, is on a mission to create empathetic, compassionate human beings by bringing to life great literature in performance. Since 2003, in venues large and small, we have been presenting events that feature well-known actors whose emotionally rich performances illuminate the transformative power of language by taking great writing from the page to the stage, with contemporary authors in attendance. Founders Cedering Fox and Kirsty Peart champion writers whose humanity resonates with audiences and creates connections across cultural, economic, and social divides. With WORDTheatre Campus, we share live and digital performances with schools in under-resourced neighborhoods on two continents.
