During this week, I continued to read Death Blossoms Reflections From A Prisoner of Conscience, written by Mumia Abu-Jamal. His writings have inspired me to take more walks and enjoy my freedom in the outside world. There are many different forms of isolation and I struggled with willing myself to go outside. But taking this book into consideration, I decided that I need to go outside more often so that I can enjoy the things that I normally take for granted. While I was out on my walk, I took a picture while I was out on the walk. I know that it is a simple image but I find the beauty in the things that I may see every single day. Taking photos of my surroundings help me to remember all of the small moments or even certain songs that hold clips of my life as I listen to them. This book has inspired me to enjoy the simple things in my life and not take anything for granted.
