Laying a Path for Redemption

The day was September 25, 2013. It was a Wednesday when Heather and her husband decided to end her pregnancy. Heather’s life was in danger. But it didn’t make the decision any easier. And it didn’t help her cope with it afterward. What may surprise most people, though, is that Heather was in church that next Sunday, September 29, 2013.

Heather and her husband were regular church goers. No one in her church had any idea what they were going through. Their pastor regularly reached out to them, greeted them, and cared for them. But Heather didn’t let on that she was suffering in silence.

Every Sunday, there are people who have been affected by abortion sitting in the chairs and pews of churches everywhere. They often sit there in silence acting like nothing has happened – or is going to happen. They sit there in pain, feeling empty.
