MAKING AN IMPACT

Caring for a Mom in a Health Crisis

Jana first came to The Pregnancy Center with her mother. Her mother was very broken over her daughter’s situation as a pregnant single young woman with a debilitating health issue.

In addition to hearing about the immediate needs of this young woman, we also learned the baby’s father was in drug rehab. At the end of that initial meeting with Jana and her mother, her mother stated, “The Lord knew we needed you all.”

On a later phone call with Jana and her mother to help them find resources for insurance that would cover a serious operation for Jana, her mother stated, “we feel like you all are our friends!”

Jana has since had her baby, and both she and the baby are healthy. In addition, her fiancé is out of rehab.

Rejecting Abuse and Accepting a New Baby

Alisha came to The Pregnancy Center right before her labor and delivery with her second child. A single mom, she lived with other family members, including an abusive boyfriend.

The client advocate was able to lovingly speak truth, and help her see that abuse comes in all kinds of forms. In sharing the Gospel and repeatedly sharing the truths of God’s Word, the client advocate was able to help her see her value in Christ.
