A bald eagle and determined magpie discuss lunch—in this case, a freshly-caught trout—on a rock out a canyon in Bellevue on Friday, Feb. 5. The eagle originally hauled the fish to a nearby cottonwood tree, but was harassed by numerous other magpies, and so moved his lunch to the rock. It is not known whether the eagle shared the fish with the smaller bird. Photo credit: Sunny Healey
