The Lamp Project From the beginning of the project I knew I wanted to use recycled product. The wood I used was some oak wood that I had at home. Using this wood limited me a little, because could not turn it on a lath. This is why I went with the square design. The block also had a knot in it and i wanted to showcase that, so I made it the front of the lamp. The base of the lamp is stained a deep brown and seem rustic and cozy, while the shade is simplistic and white not to distract from the intricate wood grain pattern of the base.
