THE NEXT GENERATION Bringing Grandchildren to the Club
BY KRISTINE ROBERSON, MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
As some of you may know, I recently stepped into a new and joyful chapter of life — I became a grandmother for the very first time! It’s been a heartwarming reminder that while Woodbridge has always been a place for golf, tennis, swimming and social events, it’s just as much a place where family memories are made.

Naturally, with this exciting new role has come a fresh perspective. I’ve received a plethora of questions over the years from fellow grandparents about bringing their grandchildren to the Club. Whether it’s a casual swim, junior golf lessons, or participating in our popular summer camps, grandparents want to share Woodbridge with their little loved ones. So let’s clear up some of the most common questions I hear:
Are there guest fees for grandchildren?
Good news — children six years and younger can enjoy the club at no guest fee. Whether they’re splashing in the pool, dining with you, or tagging along to an event, there’s no charge for your littlest family members.
Are there any restrictions on where they can go?
Nope! Grandchildren are welcome throughout the club with their member grandparents. From the tennis courts to the dining room to family-friendly social events, they can explore and enjoy just like any other guest.
Can my grandchild take lessons or attend camps?
Absolutely! Members can enroll their grandchildren in lessons, camps, and events at the regular posted member rates. This includes golf, tennis, swim lessons, and all the great kids’ programming we offer year-round. It’s a wonderful way to introduce them to the activities we all love.
Do I need to register them as guests every time?
For most activities, a simple mention when you check in is all that’s needed, especially for casual visits like dining or swimming. For camps, lessons, and events, standard registration procedures apply — just be sure to list your membership information.
I am really enjoying this new adventure as a grandmother, and I’m more passionate than ever about making sure Woodbridge remains a welcoming, family-friendly Club where multiple generations can connect and create memories.
