Art ist 's St at ement My work carries discursive as well as visual meaning, and I make it in my characteristic manual + digital process. My art conveys visual sense but visual sense not only. Using found images and digital manipulation, I reconfigure the past and revision myself through self-portraits. My work, therefore, carries meaning that isn't stable, for the viewer makes meaning as well as the artist. After a life of historical truth and political engagement with American society, my artwork represents freedom.

M ore M usic Jazz reflects the rhythms of life, and in that spirit, WBGO recently reconfigured our on air programming to better serve you with a weekly schedule that will give you more of what you want when you want it. We introduced the brand new WBGO Swing Party (Sundays, 8-10AM), hosted by Blues Hall of Famer, legendary producer and host of long running favorites Portraits in Blue and Saturday Morning Function, Bob Porter. Another program new to WBGO and hosted by an iconic broadcaster, Dick Golden, airs Sundays, 2-4PM: American Jazz with Dick Golden. Legendary jazz singer, and long-time friend of WBGO, Tony Bennett, responded to the addition of Golden?s voice to the Sunday lineup by saying, ?Dick Golden is one of the most

intelligent and informed authorities I have ever known on the history of jazz and the Great American Songbook ? his knowledge is extensive. Dick?s insight and entertaining communication style makes his radio show one of my favorite programs to listen to and I am thrilled that WBGO [added] it to their broadcast offerings. I know that it will be of great interest and enjoyment to the WBGO audience.? These two additions surround the very popular Singers Unlimited hosted by Michael Bourne (10am-2pm), making Sundays must listen radio. Speaking of Michael Bourne, his treasured Blues Hour has expanded to two hours, becoming the Blues Break, Monday through Friday from 2-4pm. WBGO President & CEO Amy Niles said of the expansion

emerging sounds in Jazz and beyond, through new recordings, exclusive performances, and interviews. Now four days a week, producer and host Simon Rentner gets inside the music and minds of many of today?s leading creative artists from all over the world. 8:00 PM SUNDAY NIGHT MUSIC MIX Grammy® nominated record producer Eulis Cathey plays an eclectic mixture of jazz, contemporary jazz, fusion, jazz/funk, Latin, classic R&Band so much more. From Grover Washington, Jr. to Weather Report; from James Brown to Eddie Palmieri; from Charles Earland to Incognito, the Sunday Night Music Mix has something for everyone.
