Dear friends, As we reflect upon 2023, we have much to celebrate. Wolf Trap is experiencing a renaissance—a golden period of spectacular programming, all-time high support and attendance, and architectural transformations that will benefit our community for generations to come. Your commitment inspires our leadership and staff. For that we are extremely grateful and we pledge to continue to deliver world-class experiences. Over the last year, our stages blazed with outstanding artistry from rock icons and jazz legends to spectacular ballet performances, grand operas, and everything in between. And, for the first time in years, the Wolf Trap experience integrated the entire Park with the debut of our Out & About Festival, which featured dozens of passionate artists and community partners. We expanded early childhood educational offerings locally and throughout the nation. Students, educators, and families engaged in robust arts-learning services and programs offered by Wolf Trap’s Institute for Early Learning through the Arts with a growing network of national affiliates. Audiences, artists, and programs benefited from investments made possible through strong annual contributions and special gifts to the Campaign for Wolf Trap: Our Next Chapter. The Campaign—the most ambitious fundraising effort in our history—concluded in 2023, shattering expectations and setting Wolf Trap on an exciting upward trajectory. Capital improvements realized over the last three years make Wolf Trap more welcoming, safe, and accessible for all while encouraging visitors year-round at the Park and The Barns. The Campaign also ensured a growing endowment that will sustain the Foundation’s programs for generations. Please enjoy the highlights of 2023 in this Annual Report. Virginia Living Magazine recognized Wolf Trap for the Best Music Venue, Best Family Entertainment, and Best Performing Arts Theater, while Northern Virginia Magazine named the Filene Center the Best Live Music Venue and Best Outdoor Concert Space.
