levels of disadvantage There are young people in our community who face significant disadvantage. We know that people from regional areas will have poorer health and wellbeing outcomes. Further disadvantage is experienced by our young people within the following demographic groups:

• •

Young people from lower-income households;

• • •

Women and girls;

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 3.

Those from culturally diverse backgrounds (newly settled and refugee backgrounds);

People with a disability; Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, nonbinary and gender diverse (LGBTIQ+) people; and,

We need to consider and plan to reduce disadvantage and address stigma and discrimination impacting young people.
