Accreditation Statement
The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Learning Outcome
Learners will benefit from empowerment to provide cutting edge, evidence-based practice in the field of WOC nursing while building their leadership skills through professional practice development by attending and participating in lectures, skills labs, and participating in dialogue with experts and colleagues throughout conference.
Attendees can earn up to one nursing contact hour for every hour of educational time and must complete an evaluation for each session attended and poster viewed in order to receive Contact Hours. Evaluation forms should be submitted online during or after the event. WOCNext 2021 offers up to 36.50 Contact Hours, including 4.00 hours of Pharmacology. This includes all of the sessions and posters viewed from Thursday, June 24 – Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Many of the sessions contain content suitable for advanced practice nurses; those are designated with an
Sessions containing content suitable for Physical Therapy Contacts Hours are designated with a PT .
Additionally, some sessions contain content suitable for Physicians. These sessions will be designated with a CME .
The actual number of Contact Hours to be awarded for each session is noted in individual session descriptions.
Evaluations
Attendees can earn one nursing contact hour for every hour of educational time attended, providing they complete an evaluation for each session. Evaluations should be completed online during or after WOCNext 2021. Attendees must evaluate all sessions attended Thursday, June 24 – Saturday, June 26, 2021 in order to receive all credits. Concurrent sessions, general sessions and posters will need to be evaluated during the main evaluation along with an overall evaluation. All attendees must complete the online evaluation by December 31, 2021.
Please note: there is a separate evaluation process for those wishing to obtain PT and CME credit for sessions attended during the LIVE event only. PT and CME credits will not be available with on-demand content. Please follow full instructions found on the Evaluations tab on the event site for additional information.
Poster Evaluations
As you explore the ePosters this year, please take a moment to write down the poster numbers of all the CE posters you view. During the evaluation process, you will be asked to check off which posters you visited. For each poster you will be awarded 0.05 Contact Hours, for up to 3.85 total. In order to earn Contact Hours for poster viewing, you will be asked to indicate the posters viewed and learning takeaways while completing the evaluation.
Submitting Continuing Education Credits
This year’s education will be presented under the following trending healthcare themes:
• Wellness: Behaviors, actions and interventions to promote health and well-being
• Symptom Science: Understanding pathophysiology and manifestations of acute and chronic illness
• Quality: Measures of patient-centered, safe, effective, timely, efficient and equitable care
• Clinical Care Innovations: Advancing practice through the integration of education and research
While the sessions will not be organized in the traditional Wound, Ostomy, Continence, and Professional Practice tracks, attendees will still be able to take advantage of quality wound, ostomy, continence and professional practice education and submit for the appropriate credits. Specialties are indicated at the end of each session title.
Physician Continuing Education Credit
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Relias LLC and the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society. Relias LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Relias LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physical Therapy Continuing Education Credit
Physical Therapy coursework with Relias LLC generally meets the criteria established by those states that do not preapprove continuing education courses. It is the responsibility of the learner/participant to review the guidelines established by their state to ensure the courses are satisfactory to meet their continuing education requirements or professional development plan. Continuing education credit for physical therapy is provided for specific sessions. Physical Therapists can earn up to 9 contact hours. Relias LLC is a licensed physical therapy continuing education sponsor (#216.000290) by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Certificates must be retained by the licensee for a period of 5 years after course completion.
