The Golden Knights are the lone team in the PSAC Western Division with an unblemished conference record at 3-0. « The Golden Knights are 3-0 in PSAC action for the first time since joining the conference in 2008. « Gannon has won its opening three conference games for the first time since winning its first eight contests as a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) member in 2007-08. « The Golden Knights have held six opponents below 60 points during their first seven games.

« Indiana (Pa.) opened the season with seven consecutive victories, before suffering its first loss Wednesday night against Mercyhurst (65-62) at home. « The Crimson Hawks are ranked fifth in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Top 25 Poll. « The squad ranks third nationally in free throw percentage (80.6) and fourth in scoring defense (57.9). « IUP leads the PSAC in free throw percentage and total assists. « The Crimson Hawks have won three of the last five PSAC Championships.

« Gannon has won three consecutive games against Indiana (Pa.) to knot the alltime series at 19. « The all-time series has consisted of runs. IUP had won the previous eight encounters. « Gannon won six straight prior to that after the Crimson Hawks had won the previous five contests.
