Bushidokan is a pioneer of martial arts in the U.S. and known for challenging the faults associated with blind allegiance to one particular set of techniques. In all, Bushidokan has borrowed techniques from over 10 different martial arts and three primary systems: Karate, Judo, and Jujitsu. Add in large doses of kickboxing, realistic self-defense, military arts, weapons training, and body conditioning, and you start to get a pretty good picture of what Bushidokan is all about. All ages are welcome!

Learn a simple 10 minute relaxation response process, then use it to better cope with life’s

stresses, manage pain, and improve mental clarity and focus. Discover the path to your innermost calm with guided meditation techniques. This five week class gives you tools for living a most peaceful and healthier life. Whether you are presently healthy or dealing with an illness, you can benefit from the engaging, practical techniques taught in this one hour weekly class. UPCOMING CLASSES Business & Community Education Bicycle Tube & Tire Clinic Oct 10 (T) 7:30 – 9:00 p.m., $5 Managing tires and tire changes is probably the single most important bicycle repair skill. Mastering the task, or at least gaining confidence handling tubes and tires and tire levers will go a good distance toward getting a rider out on the road, and back home again. This clinic will cover the basics of tire changes/repairs in the field. By the end of the clinic you should be able to fix a flat here, there, anywhere. All (most) types of wheels and bikes will be addressed, including how to change the dreaded back wheel with the dérailleur. Tools, tires, and bikes will be provided for practice, but people are encouraged to bring their own bike to practice their hand. The course will also address various goat head remedies so that flat tires are hopefully, more or less, a thing of the past. For questions call Kristin Wiebe at 308.672.3923. This class is hosted by the West Nebraska Bicycling Club.

In April 2017, the U.S. commemorated its 100th anniversary involvement in this “war to end all wars.” Mondays! Sep 18 – Nov 6 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. John N.
