n Dental editors from West Michigan District Dental Society recognized by the International College of Dentists—Dr. Chris Smiley, editor of the Journal of the Michigan Dental Association and Dr. Rachel Sinacola, editor of the Bulletin of the West Michigan District Dental Society received awards at the recent ADA meeting in Houston, TX. n Dr. Smiley received the 2022 Journalism Award, Golden Pen, for an article in the October 2021 issue titled “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

Perspectives From an LGBTQ Dentist.” Dr. Sinacola received the 2022

Journalism Award, Humanitarian Service, for an article in the Spring 2021 issue titled “Be Part of the Solution: The Dental Needs of Refugee and Immigrant Youth.” Congratulations Dr. Smiley and Dr. Sinacola!
