Hello! This is Saadgee Singh, a 10-year-old from Grade 5. I am currently the Student Head of Wellbeing of Primary. My hobbies are practicing ballet and playing tennis for which, I am getting trained. I thoroughly enjoy reading thrillers and mystery books, for example A Tale of Witchcraft by Chris Colfer or Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. Aesthetically inclined, I aspire to become an interior designer and add a dash of creativity in every house I visit.

What is the International Day of Happiness and why is it celebrated?
In 2012, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly proclaimed 20th March as the International Day of Happiness as they knew that happiness should not be a luxury to few. The quest of happiness is a universal and fundamental goal because happiness plays an important role in addressing the various challenges the world faces as challenges are both complex and interrelated. The International Day of Happiness aims to make people around the world realize the importance of happiness within their lives. In 2015, the United Nations launched 17 Sustainable Development Goals to make people's lives happier. The realization of these goals is the path to wellbeing and happiness.
Did you know that there are over 7 billion people across the globe? Well, now that you do, you should also know that each of them has a desire to be happy but not all of them have the opportunity. So, always be grateful, kind and loving towards the people around you, be it a stranger or a loved one.
