An Interview with Mr. Saif Abdulla

Saying he’s a breath of fresh air is the ultimate understatement – he’s more like a force of wind of positivity, bringing smiles to the young and old in all that he does. A UAE national, Mr. Saif Abdulla is a certified motivational speaker, a popular bilingual event host, and a radio and TV presenter. He is on a mission to spread positivity and immense joy around the UAE through his beaming smile and larger than life personality. His career behind the mic has been hugely successful, and has seen Mr. Saif head large events in the region for some of the biggest brands. Being the anchor host on The Breakfast Club for PEARL FM, the country’s only family focused radio station has allowed Mr. Saif to grow a large fan base among a niche audience of children and parents in the UAE. With a dedicated approach to all he does, Mr. Saif brings an incredible energy to every project he takes on. His diverse skill set allows him to be versatile as a speaker and host, with a unique ability to appeal to a wide age range of audience. Recently, Mr. Saif had released his first children’s book, The Inspiring Kid. In this interview, Mr. Saif shares what inspired him to write the book, his future aspirations, and his message to all those who aim to make a difference.

You are known and loved for being a radio and TV presenter, a motivational speaker and an MC. When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer?

I'm a big fan of creating happy journals in which I write my daily schedule, gratitude list and experiences. I love children so much and I always wanted to inspire them and make them understand how special they are. That's why I decided to write my first book, The Inspiring Kid.

Could you tell the readers about The Inspiring Kid?

The Inspiring Kid is the story of a young boy, whose life is an inspiration for all. It gives the message that joy comes from knowing who you are and why you are here. The Inspiring Kid is a story of wisdom, beauty and hope.

What lessons do you want the readers to take away from the book?

Always stay positive, kind and never give up.

How long did it take you to write the book?

It took me around 10 days to finish the book.

What was the most challenging part about writing the book? What was the most fun part?

To be honest, it was all from the heart and I was really happy writing my book. The only challenging part was the first 2 pages.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your book?

I learnt that our words are powerful and can really change someone's life from bad to better.

What do your children feel about your book?

My kids love hearing me read the book in a funny way. But I always make sure that they understand the message of the book that life is meant to be hard and challenging and you'll face obstacles in life but believe in yourself and you’ll make it1

Have you already decided what your next book will be about?

Yes. It's a special book for the beautiful powerful girls.

What message do you want to give to aspiring authors?

Keep writing whatever makes you happy/ Also write about things that makes you upset or scared and try your best to overcome your sadness or fears by taking action. And always, always stay positive.

Any message for everyone reading this interview?

All I can say is, be yourself and make yourself proud. You'll get judged no matter what you do. At the end of the day, make yourself happy and the important people around you happy.
