Every student desperately awaits the summer vacations after sweating it out in school for a long term. School work and exams take a lot of out of you, so it’s nice to have a few months to unwind. You get to catch up on things that you normally don’t have enough time for. However, one of the biggest problems students face is staying productive during the summer break. You spend 2 months having fun and partying about, but when you return to class in early September, you end up feeling overwhelmed and stressed out. It happens to a lot of people. It’s like starting a car that’s been sitting in your garage for years. The engine is going to sound clunky and congested. Fortunately, this can be avoided by keeping your mind sharp and productive during the summer break, onto a smooth transition back to school, with new experiences.
Here are a few tips to make the summer break productive!
1. Plan Ahead
The most important way to be able to accomplish more and balance your commitments and things you want to do is through planning and creating goals. With particular timelines, it helps you space out your fun activities along with a bit of studies to stay polished in the academic area.

2. Exercise
Exercise is one of the best methods of improving your productivity as it boosts your concentration by 21% and has an increase in motivation to work by 41%. You can easily do so by going out and exploring areas with your friends or simply doing home workouts!
3. Enrol in Online Courses
Enrolling in any summer school, or interested courses would help you gain additional knowledge, and a certification in the course. This will ensure that you keep learning throughout the summer, look good on your application, and new skills will make you stand out.

4. Personal Projects
The summers can be a good time, where some students might want to stay indoors, and work on an interesting personal project to share. This can range from creating a blog, building robots, learning to code, writing a research paper, anything you like!
5. Extra-Curriculars
Apart from all of the above, you can take part in any activity or competition you find you can excel in, as it just boosts your skillset. Things such as sports, music, languages etc. can be enjoyable as well.

6. Treat Yourself
Upon completion of your planned activities and meeting your goals, you should plan a break and a reward for yourself such as outings or anything you find fun. This further drives your productivity, as you look forward to the reward you have waiting.
