CALL TO WORSHIP One:
We
gather
together
to
remember
who
God
is:
All: The One who remains as rulers rise and fall.
One:
The
One
whose
love
sets
free.
All: The One who took on flesh to serve the world.
One:
The
One
who
creates
life
where
evil
intends
death.
All: Among us, within us, in spite of us,God endures forever.
GIVING THANKS
Your generosity helps us to continue our outreach into the community. Your support allows us to help people in need of money for food, rent, and utilities. It also allows us to provide space for the Girl Scouts and other community groups. It is only through your donations that we can continue the work begun by Jesus. Thank You.
SCRIPTURE JOHN 18:33-38
Then Pilate entered the headquarters again, summoned Jesus, and asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus answered, “Do you ask this on your own, or did others tell you about me?” Pilate replied, “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me. What have you done?” Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.” Pilate asked him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate asked him, “What is truth?” This is the word of God for the people of God. ALL: Thanks be to God.
Worship Through Song Opening Hymn Thanksgiving Medley
"We Gather Together" (Dutch melody/Kremser)Words: T. Baker/Adapt. © 1981 Ruth Duck
We gather together to ask for God's blessing, To turn to a wisdom surpassing our own; The powers that oppress us now cease to distress us. O God, be present with us, and make Your will known.
"Come, Ye Thankful People, Come" (St. George's Windsor) Descant c. 1995 Chalice Press
Come, ye thankful people come, raise the song of harvest home; All is safely gathered in, ere the winter storms begin; God our Maker does provide for our wants to be supplied. Come to God's own temple, come, raise the song of harvest home.
"Let All Things Now Living"
(Ash Grove) Words and desc. c. 1939, 1966 ECS Pub., harm c. 1978 Lutheran Book of Worship
Let all things now living a song of thanksgiving to God our Creator triumphantly raise; Who fashioned and made us, protected and stayed us, by guiding us on to the end of our days. God's banners are o'er us pure light goes before us, a pillar of fire shining forth in the night; Till shadows have vanished all fearfulness banished, as forward we travel from light into light.

Sermon Talk is On Break for Advent
We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one Body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.
Out of our call to “do justice” (Micah 6:8), we strive to demonstrate the fullness of God’s shalom through living out our faith by caring for God’s creation. . Setting a place at the table for persons of all gender expressions and sexual orientations.
We are committed to being a ProReconciling/Anti-Racist Ministry. We seek to deepen our understanding of systemic racism, as Christ compels us to advocate for justice, fairness and equality within our world.
