HistoryoftheProperty

Ascenic working farm vineyard, The Winery at Bull Run lies on 225 acres adjacent to Manassas National Battlefield Park and next door to an equestrian farm. The winery itself was built to represent the two types of historic barns in Northern Virginia a smaller 1800s-style barn and a larger 1920s-era dairy barn, complete with a hayloft and hay lift cable and beams. Our passion for the history of the land led us to create the largest working farm left in Fairfax County and to salvage the old stone foundation of the Hillwood Mansion, burned in a fire some 30 years ago now a perfect altar and elevated stage for outdoor wedding ceremonies.

An outdoor ceremony site that captures the true essence of Virginia wine country, our Hillwood Ruins features an expansive lawn with views of our gorgeous Norton vineyards. The area around Hillwood can accommodate any party up to 200 people, making this historic location a favorite for wedding ceremonies.

The warm and welcoming ambiance of our rustic Barrel Room is perfect for cocktail hour and seated dinner receptions Equipped with reclaimed wood walls, bistro lighting, and a wine barrel backdrop, the space can accommodate up to 90 seated guests and 125 guests for cocktail receptions

With its copper bars, fireplace lounge, authentic 1800s-era hand-hewn beams, and spacious covered patios, our Tasting Room can accommodate up to 200 seated guests, depending on spaces used.

Our friendly and professional staff are truly dedicated to making your event run smoothly from start to finish. Complimentary on-site day of wedding coordination, professional event management, overnight parking, wireless internet, and gorgeous views set The Winery at Bull Run apart. Also included in the private rental price are 20 standard five foot round tables and 200 mahogany wooden chairs for ceremonies and receptions.

Does the winery have a preferred vendor list?

Yes, we have a preferred vendor list for all rentals and vendors such as catering, photography, florists, entertainment, limos, videography, tents, and more These are trusted partners in all facets of the events industry who are familiar with the winery and have given excellent customer service experiences to previous clients Rest assured that if you choose any one of them, they will take good care of you!

If it’s an outdoor ceremony, what is the backup plan in the case of inclement weather?

We have an indoor rain contingency plan for ceremonies in our beautiful rustic Barrel Room or Tank Room.

Is there a minimum amount of wine that I need to purchase?

Yes, we require a minimum purchase amount of 1 case (12 bottles) of TWABR wine per 25 guests. You will automatically become a wedding wine club member and receive 10% discount off your wine as a thank you!

Can we bring our own alcoholic beverages?

All wine must be provided by The Winery at Bull Run. Beer may be brought in with a temporary banquet license from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control or through a caterer.

Is there a private space for the bride?

Yes, we have a beautiful bridal suite located in the Main Building and Production Barn.

Do you have complimentary on site parking?

Yes, we have an expansive parking lot.
