Their DJ sets incorporate electronic drums and samplers and live instruments to mix every genre into flamboyant live performances.
Summer Thieves From humble beginnings in Dunedin’s ‘Scarfieville’, the Summer Thieves have built a large and incredibly loyal fan base. They first entered the studio in 2014 with awardwinning Kiwi artist and producer Tiki Taane who worked with them on their debut album Warped which was released in July 2017. Self-confessed “laid back guys who put on parties”, and who “don’t take ourselves too seriously,” the band comprises of Johnny Ward (drums and vocals), Adam Spencer (bass), Izzy Bones (guitar and keys) and Jake Barton (guitar and lead vocals).
Ardijah A group of well-known artists who formed a band in the 1980s in South Auckland, Ardijah specialise in soul and funk. Ardijah were at their most popular in the late 1980s when they released their first single, Give Me Your Number, followed by Your Love is Blind. The band members include Betty-Anne Monga (vocals) Ryan Captain Fonk Monga (drums, bass and vocals), Ryan Kaipapu Monga (bass, drums, vocals), John Richard Tali (sax, vocals), Michael Hansen (keyboards) and Jesse Monga (vocals, percussion).
