2. Spectacular Blossom Time! Take a strikingly beautiful drive within the Oliver Area. The Apricot, Cherry & Peach trees usually bloom in the 2nd & 3rd week of April.
3. Pick fresh local fruit, veggies and herbs at a U-Pick family-run orchard or just stop at one of Oliver’s numerous roadside fruit stands where you may also be able to purchase local honey, hot sauces, jams, and syrups. 4. Vaseux Lake Bird Sanctuary – North end of Vaseux Lake offers some of the best bird
and bat watching in Canada. You can walk through the marsh on boardwalks. Grab your binoculars! California Bighorn Sheep & deer nearby on the winter range.
5. Gather the family under the shade in the grass at Tuc-El-Nuit Lake with a great play and picnic area. No motorized watercrafts permitted here! 6. Explore Canada’s Desert. Take a hike to phenomenal valley views at McIntyre Bluff (Ny-lin-tn) or in the backcountry at Stamp Mill Golden Mile, Sandy Trail, and Oliver Mountain….
7. Take a hike or ride a bike along Oliver’s 18.8 km Hike & Bike Trail (KVR Trail), 10 km on pavement with the balance on a compacted dirt and gravel pathway. 8. Marvel in the spectacle of the Okanagan River Fall Salmon Run. See this wonder of nature from Oliver’s Hike & Bike Trail.
9. Pause on a winter hike and listen to the snow fall. Test the fresh powder at Baldy Mountain with downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and tobogganing for the whole family. 10. Did we

Oliver is proud to herald as the Wine Capital, but we’re more than that. Craft breweries offer unique local and seasonallyinspired flavours. Award-winning distilleries produce gin, vodka and whiskey some you can take home to age and customize in your own miniature barrel. Fresh fruit cider will perfectly quench your thirst on an Okanagan day.
Craft beverage culture is budding in Oliver. Breweries get creative using wine barrels in their micro-brews. Distillers extract flavours from botanicals sourced nearby to produce unique spirits. Cideries are emerging and taking advantage of the abundance of sweet apples grown in the valley.
