To do this, at a command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter: netsh winsock reset If you are running Windows XP, you have to configure the proxy settings. To do this, at a command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter: proxycfg.exe –d Restart the BITS service, the Windows Update service, and the Cryptographic service. Install the latest Windows Update Agent. Restart the computer.
