… entertaining, challenging and surprising… The Herald 7777

When Zena, the wife of Environment Minister Sir Michael Charbonne, is bundled into the boot of a car, her life, as she knows it, is obliterated. Offered a fantastical choice between the dangerous new, or the safe old, Zena is trapped between two worlds. But, who, ultimately, is calling the shots? And what, really, is real? The Occasional Cabaret was founded in 2010 by Peter Clerke and Catherine Gillard, formerly joint Artistic Directors of the groundbreaking Edinburgh based touring ensemble, benchtours.

Martyn Joseph 8pm

He has been called ‘The Welsh Springsteen’, but there are also shades of John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews – but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what thousands have described as the best live music experience of their lives. Visit www.martynjoseph.net to listen to Martyn’s latest tracks. ‘ Springsteen-indebted Americana, suspended folk chords glistening beneath troubadour tales, his lyrical eloquence still inspired almost 30 years on from his debut.’ MOJO www.hants.gov.uk wdc www.hants.gov.uk/
