Call to Artists - The Spring Fling Artist’s Walk is the opportunity for selected artists to demonstrate their medium in a family educational experience for the audience of the April 19, 2014 Spring Fling Festival located on the square in downtown Moultrie, GA. Artists will be given an honorarium of $200 to participate in this event. Ten artists will be selected to participate in this new event. Artists will set up by 8:45 and close their demonstrations at 4:00 p.m. Artists are encouraged to share their arts experience by having a hands-on activity for the family to participate in during their visit to each space. For example, if you are a watercolorist, you could have small sheets of paper, brushes and water set up on a table to engage participation in experiencing your medium. A clay artist could have small pieces of clay or a painter could have a large canvas to create a community mural. Spring Fling is also conducting a juried arts competition at this event. Artists may want to participate in both events as long as there is someone managing your juried art space. A brochure is enclosed.
